Gift Aid forms

Hi Everyone,

We are back to football this Saturday so just a wee reminder about the gift aid forms needing to be returned. If you have not got the forms yet then please see me at the beginning of the session so I can have you sign it and return the form at the end.

Hopefully everyone will have had sight of last month’s Newsletter where one of the topics shared was the plan to introduce ‘Gift Aid’ in the club. The ‘Gift Aid’ process is a way the club can get a 25% tax rebate from HMRC on any ‘non-essential’ running costs payments made to the club. So long as the individual signing the declaration form is a UK resident and a Tax Player, they are eligible to support the Gift Aid process. If you are eligible (UK resident and a Tax Payer) please support the club if you can.

How it works is (example)

– Monthly Fee is £20.00

– Monthly essential running cost is £8.91 (this is determined by each coach – please note teams costs may differ)

– The Balance is £12.09 (this is the amount that can be donated for the purpose of the Gift Aid)

– Gift Aid payment back to club is 25% of donation amount, £3.02

To allow gift aid to be administered there will be a change in the way members are required to pay their fees. This is an immediate change. Your October payment and every payment thereafter must be made to the Football Club’s central account. All funds will be paid back into individual team accounts each month after the gift aid process has been administered.

Please make the payment date the first day of each month.

Each team member has their own individual reference number which is detailed on the gift aid form, this is the reference that should be used when setting up the Standing Order with your bank. Without this reference, we will not be able to reconcile the fees for each member. All funds raised by Gift Aid will be reinvested into the club.

Can you please notify your team coach if there is any reason you are unable to organise a standing order Payment.

Bonnyrigg Rose Football Club will never turn away a child/member that would like to play football. If, for whatever the reason may be, fees cannot be met then please contact Trish on 07834 456 625. Trish will organise help where possible. All enquiries will be dealt with in confidence,
